Samantha Wraps Up Shooting For Shaakuntalam Movie

Tollywood is aiming big each year and filmmakers are undertaking many ambitious projects.  Shaakuntalam is one such movie.  The movie directed by Gunasekhar tells the story of Shakuntala and Dushyanta.  This mythological epic love story stars Samantha as Shakuntala while Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is essaying the role of Dushyanta.

Shaakuntalam is one of the most anticipated Telugu movies of this year, owing to Samantha, Gunasekhar and just the story in itself.  In the latest, Samantha wrapped up shooting for the movie.  The actress penned a sweet note thanking the team of Shaakuntalam and shared her experience working for the movie.  Samantha thanked the director Gunasekhar and called him her fairy godfather.  She wrote “Today as I say my goodbyes , I have such an immense feeling of love and gratitude ,to this absolutely incredible human @gunasekhar1 sir ,for he has created a world that has exceeded all my expectations .The inner child in me is dancing with joy. Shaakuntalam is written and directed by Gunasekhar and is based on the play Abhijnanasakuntalam by Kalidasa.  The movie is jointly bankrolled by the banners of Gunaa Teamworks and Sri Venkateswara Creations.  Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha will be seen as little prince Bharata in the movie.  Music is composed by Mani Sharma.
