Shaakuntalam is the biggest mythological epic made in recent times. The film has been released today in theatres worldwide. Audiences are enjoying the film’s magical world in both 2D and 3D, thanks to the impressive VFX. The film features Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Dev Mohan, and Allu Arha in prominent roles, along with other members of the supporting cast. This was made with a huge budget and large sets of war fields and courtrooms. Also, the film has Samantha in two phases, one as the sage’s daughter at her hermitage, with a simple and poised look. The other one is the look of a queen.
On the occasion of the Shaakuntalam release, there has been an ongoing hype around it as this is another woman oriented film by Samantha. She is playing the title role in the film. Today there was a massive cutout of Samantha as Shakuntala at the Devi 70MM theatre in Hyderabad.

Shaakuntalam is an attempt to make a mythological film in this modern age for the younger generations and millennials. The film is produced under the Guna Teamworks banner by Neelima Guna and is presented by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations.
