Arjun Reddy, the Vijay Deverakonda starrer, inspired film makers across India to remake the movie in different languages. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy, is coming up with its Hindi version, Kabir Singh, on June 21st.
News is, Adithya Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy, is facing release problems due to a legal notice with which director Bala slapped Team Adithya Varma. The issue is, Adithya Varma was shot by Bala as a friendship commitment to his friend and actor, Vikram.
E4 Entertainments produced the movie, in which Vikram’s son, Dhruv Vikram, plays the title role. After the finished product arrived, the producers were not happy with the first copy and scrapped it. Bala backed out of the project and wished well for the team.
The reshoot of the entire film was started by Gireesaaya, who was a co director to Sandeep Vanga for Arjun Reddy. The movie was renamed Adithya Varma to differentiate it from the Bala version. Now, sources say, Bala issued a legal notice to the makers of Adithya Varma, warning them not to use any of the scenes he filmed in the original version.
The production house is in a fix now and asked for time to review the notice. It remains to be seen what the outcome would be.
