Pan-India hero Prabhas, yet again, demonstrates that he is the front-runner in the Telugu film box office globally. His big-budget mythical sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD will hit theaters on June 27, and bookings for its premieres are now being accepted by the USA box office.
In this frame of context, it has been reported that the film’s advance bookings had surpassed SS Rajamouli’s Ram Charan and Jr.NTR starrer ‘RRR’. In the USA, Kalki’s pre-sales exceeded 1 million mark, two weeks before the movie’s theatrical debut.
At one million pre-bookings, Kalki 2898 AD is currently the quickest Indian film ever. Trade analysts predict that Kalki 2898 AD will break records in pre-booking sales at the Indian box office too.
Directed by ‘Mahanati’ fame Nag Ashwin, the movie is produced by S Aswani Dutt. Santhosh Narayanan is in charge of the musical composition, while Djordje Stojiljkovic has handled the cinematography department.
The film is produced by renowned production house Vyjayanthi Movies and stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad, Pasupathy, Sobhana, and Mrunal Thakur.
On June 27, 2024, this high-budget, heavily VFX-heavy project is scheduled to be released theatrically in many languages in IMAX format.
