Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, known for his versatility, is a part of the upcoming massive pan-Indian movie Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and others. Kamal’s presence in the recent lavish pre-release event that was organized in Mumbai, has brightened the whole environment.
Rana Daggubati, who hosted Kalki 2898 AD’s pre-release event in Mumbai, had posed a few questions about how Kamal Haasan felt working with a young director like Nag Ashwin.
Kamal Haasan explained, “I am used to working with ordinary-looking people, who have done extraordinary things.”
Kamal continued, “My own boss & mentor, K. Balachander, is one such being. He looked like a government official. The first thing anyone would assume when he entered any house, would be that he was an income tax raider. But I have seen what he was capable of. The movie Ek Duuje Ke Liye was his 60th film”, he referred to the renowned director, his Guru- K Balachander.
Kamal describes Nag Ashwin as an ordinary-looking individual with depth in his acts, drawing an analogy with K Balachander. Although Kamal also refers to Nag Ashwin as “A Man Of Few Words,” he described that Nag Ashwin’s brilliant concepts come across more clearly in his film work.
The ‘Vikram’ actor emphasized that Nag Ashwin had certain standards regarding his appearance in Kalki. He disclosed that it required a great deal of effort and time for the director to approve Kamal Haasan’s appearance.
