Jailer Telugu Movie Review: A High Voltage Action Movie

Jailer Telugu Movie Synopsis:

With loads of expectations from Thalaivar Rajinikanth, this latest movie, Jailer, is released in theaters today. There is no doubt that his movies have been some of the best that audiences have witnessed on screen. A few promotional materials were released, including songs that became an instant trend. 

Jailer is a dark comedy-action movie written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Nelson is a well-known filmmaker who is known for his previous works like Doctor and Beast. Jailer has an ensemble cast with Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa Menon, Tamannaah Bhatia, Naga Babu, and a few others. The music for Jailer is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while the cinematography is by Vijay Kartik Kannan. Jailer is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures.

Jailer Telugu Movie Story:

Rajinikanth is a strict jailer in a prison who is calm and composed at work and with his family too. His son, Arjun (Vasanth Ravi), is a sincere police officer. Suddenly, Rajinikanth and his family’s fate take a u-turn with some unfortunate events. This leads him to transform into a serious man who is after a gang to take revenge on them.

Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian will surely become one of the most memorable roles the actor has played. The characterization of the actor in this film is exceptional. He has shown both sides of a coin, playing calm and also being cruel in the same movie. This blend and transformation are perfect for the age demographic in which he has played the role. The movie was carried by a dark comedy genre, with a few actors, including Rajini, using their usual comic timing when needed. There are a lot of scenes where the audience will feel high with intensity. 

On-Screen Performances:

Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the actors who has aced the art of performance and is loved by every audience beyond the original language of the film. There have been faithful audiences and fans for Thalaivar across the nation who wait for the intense action from Rajini on screen. Jailer is a perfect movie for Rajinikanth, showcasing him in the titular role of Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. He is seen with a salt-and-pepper look, looking dashing even at this age. His performance is no doubt the center of attraction for the film. This film shows two different characterizations of Rajinikanth – a calm, composed man with an intense mass character.

Vasanth Ravi plays the role of Arjun, Muthuvel’s son. He is a sincere police officer who has a lot of enemies. The actors have performed so well that there will surely be an impact on him until the end of the movie. 

Vinayakan is pure evil and one of the best-designed characters in the film, Jailer. Shiva Rajkumar, as a patron of Muthuvel Pandian, has an important part in the movie. All the other extended star cast, including Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishna, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon, Naga Babu, and Yogi Babu, have prominent roles in which they have performed well.

Nelson Dilipkumar has written a good plotline, and the characterization he has designed lifts the mood of the film. Most of his films have dark humor, which is loved by the audience and has become his trademark. This filmmaking style involves the best capture of action sequences and closeups. Jailer is surely a hat trick hit for Nelson.

Anirudh Ravichander is one of the aspects that have completed the film, joining hands with Rajini and Nelson.
