Indian 2, also known as Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu, which stars Kamal Haasan in the title role, is currently preparing for its massive global release on July 12. Along with making the release date announcement, the film’s creators pledged to release the first tune from the eagerly anticipated film.
With an allusion to the positively received teaser for “Souraa,” the debut song was just published by the makers. “Senapathy returns with zero-tolerance against corruption across the region”, the makers wrote, as they shared some interesting posters from the movie.
Renowned Telugu songwriter Suddala Ashok Teja wrote the song’s lyrics, while the soul-satisfying vocals of Anirudh Ravichander and Shruthika Samudrala give the Souraa song even more weight. Once again, Anirudh’s composition has demonstrated his ability to evoke strong emotions (here patriotism).
The movie Indian 2, helmed by renowned Shankar Shanmugam, is the follow-up to 1996’s superhit movie Indian. It has an ensemble star cast including Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Nedumudi Venu, Kalidas Jayaram and others.
Ravi Varman and R. Rathnavelu handled the cinematography while Sreekar Prasad took care of the editing and Muthuraj did the art direction. Indian-2 is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, and Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banners Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies.
