Starring Vijay Deverakonda & Mrunal Thakur as the lead pair,’The Family Star’ hit the screens amidst huge expectations. Billed to be a family entertainer, The Family Star is helmed by ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ fame Parasuram Petla.
Malayalam’s musician Gopi Sundar, who has composed music for Telugu movies like ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Majili‘ has provided soul-soothing songs for ‘The Family Star’. Produced by ace producers Dil Raju, Shirish, and Sri Hanshitha Reddy under Sri Venkateswara Creations, The Family Star also stars Vaasuki, Abhinaya, Divyansha Kaushik, and others in lead roles.

The Family Star Storyline:
A youngster named Govardhan belongs to a middle-class family. With many things not sorted in his family, Govardhan runs the whole family on his shoulders. Because of the struggles he has faced financially, Govardhan leads a penny-pincher’s life, as he depicts a typical middle-class man.
Indhu, a woman, seeks a room for rent, and she takes up residence in one of their rooms. She gets close to Govardhan’s family in due course.
Govardhan disapproves of Indhu’s opulent lifestyle since it subtly affects the way his family members behave. However, Indhu and Govardhan express their affection for one another after falling in love spontaneously.
When Govardhan prepares his family to welcome Indhu as a part of their family, he is exposed to a harsh truth that she had befriended his family for selfish reasons. He abruptly cut ties with her.
Nevertheless, Govardhan and Indhu depart for the US together as events unfold. The remainder of the tale is influenced by what transpires afterward.
On-screen Performances:
The middle-class man is portrayed flawlessly by Vijay Deverakonda in The Family Star. He keeps the audience laughing throughout the entire film with his oddball demeanor and topical comedy. It’s evident that Vijay Deverakonda gave the action scenes his all as well.
Mrunal Thakur’s stunning beauty gives the film a lot of energy. Her role Indhu is skillfully written and performed. The on-screen chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal has worked out nicely.
Vennela Kishore, Abhinaya, Vasuki, Jagapathi Babu, and other actors have justified their roles well.
Technical Aspects:
The Family Star features well-written parts and high production qualities. Parasuram Petla’s narration is on point. Telugu films have always shown middle class characters with a dash of humor; nonetheless, Parasuram’s interpretation of this theme is intriguing.
Songs and BGM give The Family Star’s story a lot of weight.
End Note: This is a perfect summer release that is both relatable and entertaining. The main actors give excellent performances, and the film is quite entertaining with the right placement of twists.
