With his critically acclaimed “Baahubali” series, director SS Rajamouli gained worldwide recognition. His most recent release, “RRR,” features Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and Alia Bhatt in the key parts and became one of the biggest hits in the history of Indian cinema. It also received widespread praise from critics and was recognized with an Oscar.
SS Rajamouli, who had traveled to Japan to attend a special screening of his hugely successful movie “RRR,” was warmly greeted by Japanese fans.
An 83-year-old Japanese fan gave RRR director a lovely gift, which is a thousand hand-made origami cranes, which symbolize good fortune and blessings. SS Rajamouli shared heartwarming photos of himself, his wife, and the old woman on X (previously Twitter).
“In Japan, they make origami cranes &gift them to their loved ones for good luck& health. This 83-year-old woman made 1000 of them to bless us because RRR made her happy. She just sent the gift and was waiting outside in the cold. Some gestures can never be repaid. Just grateful”, Rajamouli wrote, as he shared a picture of his wife Rama Rajamouli, and himself with Japanese fans.

Following the special screening of “RRR,” Rajamouli spoke to the crowd. He was ecstatic to see “RRR” fans enjoying the film on such a large scale. He expressed his gratitude to the Japanese fans for their persistent support and unparalleled welcome.
Speaking about his upcoming film with superstar Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli said that filming will shortly begin.
