Ravi Varma, an actor who mesmerized the audiences with splendid performances is venturing into new waters. He played diverse roles across genres and yet is still unique because of his charm. He is gradually carving a niche in the industry as he is cruising into roles with matured looks. Be it a role of mentor/coach in the upcoming Disney+Hotstar web series Gharshana or his matured role in the Disney+Hotstar original 9 Gantalu, he is pushing the envelope in what he can achieve. Ravi Varma is one of the rare actors who can essay different shades of the same emotion. For example, his roles in Rakhi and Vennela bring out a sense of unruliness while his roles in Kshanam, Asura and Jayammu Nischayammu Raa have a sophisticated nuance and essence. He also played a variety of impactful supporting roles like in Ghazi, Napoleon, PSV Garuda Vega and Taxiwala.
He is now transitioning into a solid and bankable senior character artist. His upcoming movies and roles are a testament to that. He is playing a pivotal role in the Disney+Hotstar original 9 Gantalu, a coach/mentor in Gharshana. He is also dipping his feet into the world of comedy as he will be seen alongside Sunil in the upcoming movie Maryada Krishnayya being produced under the banner AK Entertainments. He will also be seen in the much anticipated Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati starrer Bheemla Nayak. Some of the other projects he is part of are Nagarjuna and Praveen Sattaru’s high octane action entertainer Ghost and also the upcoming sequel to Loser titled Loser 2 on the Zee5 OTT platform. He is currently awaiting the release of Sai Dharam Tej starrer and Deva Katta directorial political drama Republic.
