Nani is the nickname of our Natural actor. Ghanta Naveen Babu is his real name. Nani used his nickname as his screen name too.
Nani used to work as a Radio Jockey in Visakhapatnam. He used to run a show on radio Nonstop Nani. He was also awarded as the best RJ for his show.
Nandini Reddy, the director in Tollywood was the one who encouraged Nani to be an RJ. Also, she suggested Nani for his debut film Ashta Chamma. She also made a film Ala Modalaindi with Nani.
Nani was given the tag Natural Star by the director Maruthi for the film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. Actually the tag came from the suggestion of Samuthirakani calling Nani a Natural Actor for his film Janda Pai Kapiraju.
Nani had a love marriage in 2012 after having a 5 years of relationship with Anjana Yelavarthy in Visakhapatnam.
Nani and Anjana have a son aged 4 years. His name is Arjun and Nani calls him by the nickname Junnu.
Nani was hugely influenced by the director Mani Ratnam and actor Kamal Haasan. They both are his idols of Cinema. It is Nani’s dream to work with them both.
Nani actually wanted to become a director in his early days. He was an actor turned filmmaking aspirant. He once said in an interview that he would get into the director’s chair one day in future. He would love to direct Kamal Haasan and Chiranjeevi.
Nani started producing the films with a production banner named Wall Poster Cinema in 2018. He produced the films Awe, HIT: The First Case, HIT: The Second Case and Meet Cute.
