Dear Telugu movie lovers, we are the best audience in Indian cinema to welcome, enjoy, and celebrate any film in theatres. We own and honour all of the films, whether it’s RRR from Telugu, Dangal from Hindi, Vikram from Tamil, KGF from Kannada, or Drishyam from Malayalam. Gratitude to the Telugu audience and glory to Indian cinema. But now the shine fades.
Tollywood is currently going through a tough time due to the faltering theatre business. This is because relatively few people go to the movies in theatres to watch them on a big screen now. The theatrical business is on the verge of collapsing, affecting many people, including producers, distributors, and theatre owners. The numbers have dropped significantly in recent times, especially in the last two months. There are various reasons, yet they all lead to the same outcome.
What, in your opinion, is the reason for Tollywood’s recent box office losses?

The recent releases, Sita Ramam, Bimbisara and Karthikeya, which are performing well at the box office and receiving favourable reviews from the wider audience, are complete exceptions to this. It seems excellent to breathe a sigh of relief. We can only hope that the same continues for the upcoming movies Liger and Brahmastra.
