Dadasaheb Phalke Awards are India’s highest film award, which has been given every year since 1969. Dadasaheb Phalke Awards are named after the legendary director and father of Indian cinema, Dadasaheb Phalke, as an honour to him. These award ceremonies are organized by the directorate of film festivals every year. The organizers conducted the Dadasaheb Phalke awards ceremony last night for the year 2022, and here is the list of the winners.

Best Film – The Kashmir Films (Producer – Abhishek Agarwal, Director – Vivek Agnihotri)
Film of the year – RRR (Producer – DVV Danayya, Director – SS Rajamouli)
Best Director – R Balki (Movie – Chup)
Best Actor – Ranbir Kapoor (Movie – Brahmastra)
Best Actress – Alia Bhatt (Movie – Gangubai Kathiawadi)
Best Actor Critics – Varun Dhawan (Movie – Bhediya)
Best Actress Critics – Vidya Balan (Movie – Jalsa)
Most Promising Actor – Rishab Shetty (Movie – Kantara)
Most Versatile Actor – Anupam Kher (Movie – The Kashmir Files)
Best Actor Negative Role – Dulquer Salmaan (Movie – Chup)
Best Actor Supporting Role – Manish Paul (Movie – Jug Jugg Jeeyo)
Best Web Series – Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness (Producer – Sameer Nair, Director – Rajesh Mapuskar)
Best Playback Singer Male – Sachet Tandon (Song – Maiyya Mainu. Movie – Jersey)
Best Playback Singer Female – Neeti Mohan (Song – Meri Jaan. Movie – Gangubai Kathiawadi)
Besides these, the awards panel also gave out two special awards, which it does every year. Rekha was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for her outstanding contribution to the film industry. Hariharan was awarded Dadasaheb Phalke for his outstanding contribution to the music industry.
It is good to see that the panel has chosen some of the best works this year. The Kashmir Files and RRR were the right choices for their respective categories. Alia Bhatt is the most deserving person for the best actress award. Well, the public thought that either Jr NTR, Ram Charan, or Rishab Shetty would grab the best actor award, but the panel has gone with Ranbir Kapoor. However, Rishab Shetty was awarded as the most promising actor. SS Rajamouli has missed out on the chance to grab an award for best director this year at the Dadasaheb Phalke.
