Popular YouTuber and popstar Shirley Setia, who has been acknowledged for her music in Bollywood, is now all set to make her debut in Tollywood. The young lady will make her Tollywood debut as a leading lady opposite Naga Shaurya in a yet to be titled upcoming rom-com, directed by Aneesh Krishna.
Speaking about her debut in Telugu, Shirley Setia said, “I don’t understand Telugu but I watch South Indian films with subtitles all the time and I find them fascinating. So the idea of working in a Telugu film was amazing. Aneesh had seen some of my singing and acting performances and got in touch with me for a film. This was during the lockdown, so the narration happened over a video-call. The script was so impressive that I’ve been hooked on to it ever since. Although it’s in an unknown language, it’s an exciting opportunity for me and I can’t wait to get started (sic.)”
Shirley, who will begin shooting in Hyderabad in the first week of December, says she can’t wait to face the camera again. “The film is a romantic comedy and I play the role of an IT professional in it. It’s a super cute film that will resonate with the youth. I’ve even started learning Telugu so that I can dub for myself (sic.)”

Shirley Setia had made her acting debut with the Netflix movie Maska. She is waiting for the release of her debut Bollywood movie titled Nikamma, which has been postponed due to the COVID-19.
