In order to become a member of the Academy’s Actors branch, actors must meet specific criteria. To be considered for invitation to membership in the Actors Branch of the Academy, a candidate must:
(a) have a minimum of three theatrical feature film credits, in all of which the roles played were scripted roles, one of which was released in the past five years, and all of which are of a caliber that reflect the high standards of the Academy,
and/or
(b) have been nominated for an Academy Award in one of the acting categories,
or
(c) have, in the judgment of the Actors Branch Executive Committee, otherwise achieved unique distinction, earned special merit or made an outstanding contribution as a motion picture actor.
Emerging from the Telugu Film Industry, Junior NTR‘s induction into this esteemed branch serves as a testament to his standing as a leading actor in the Indian film industry. Turning our attention to Junior NTR’s upcoming projects, he is currently starring in ‘Devara‘, directed by Koratala Siva. The first installment of this film is scheduled to release on April 5th in theaters worldwide. ‘Devara’ features Janhvi Kapoor as the lead actress, alongside Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. Additionally, Junior NTR is preparing to make his Bollywood debut in ‘War 2‘, directed by Ayan Mukerji, where he will be sharing screen space with Hrithik Roshan.
