Shivani Rajashekar, daughter of star couple Jeevitha-Rajashekar is spending her quarantine period with family and helping out at the hosuehold chores. she said that pandemic has taught everyone to value life and how everyone is equal in front of the mother nature.

She had a dream start when she was offered to make a big big film, Two States, the Telugu remake of the Hindi film with a similar name. It was in any event, being propelled in the midst of fabulousness and function a few years back. Be that as it may, the romantic drama ran into unpleasant situation over creative differences among key individuals in the unit.

“It was so disheartening to learn that the film had to be put on hold. But then I realised that these things do happen,” adding that she understood that even for someone like her, who belongs to a family of film personalities, the going can get tough. “I’ve been trying to enter the industry for five years now, but it hasn’t been easy. Earlier, I went through hundreds of auditions and faced rejections because I was apparently too tall at 5 feet 8 inches,” quoted as Shivani saying by Deccan Chronicle.

Clearly, nepotism is not something that works for everyone, we realise. “Yes, although except in rare cases. Several things change when it comes to films, and merely having a filmy background will not get you projects.”

According to the buzz, the actor is trying to get a complete grip on the Telangana dialect for this untitled film of Srikanth Odela. Set against the rustic backdrop of the Telangana State, Nani will be seen in a rugged avatar in the action drama. According to a source, “While Nani’s current film, Tuck Jagadish, is a rustic drama set in the Godavari area, he believed that another film set in Telangana would add to his repertoire and hence gave the project the green signal.”

It is also said that Nani is very pumped up shooting for this film speaking in Telangana as it is his first time experimenting with such a role. While it will be interesting to see Nani speaking in Telangana dialect and how well he can pull off the language.

Lavanya Tripathi who was last seen on-screen in the film Arjun Suravaram will now continue shooting for her upcoming films as the government has given green signal to resume shooting. Post lockdown, the actress has revealed that she will maintain certain changes in the shooting to be safe.

In a recent interview with a popular portal, she opened up about the changes which she shall take care of while shooting. “There are a few apprehensions, but top priority will be given for safety measures on the sets. I will do whatever it takes to keep myself and my staff safe. It will be a completely different experience shooting for the film in the post-lockdown scenario, but we have to follow the guidelines of the government, ” quoted as Lavanya saying by Deccan Chronicle. (Sic)

The actress also revealed that she is not open to doing intimate scenes with her co-star due to the pandemic safety measures. She said, “I will try to avoid those scenes as much as I can.” (Sic)

Tollywood Celebrities To Meet Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Reddy To Discuss Future Steps

A Tollywood delegation which consisted of Chiranjeevi,Nagarjuna and Rajamouli and many other directors and producers met with the Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to discuss when movie shootings can resume. The delegation represented Tollywood, which was badly affected by the lockdown which began in May. Infact all the movie industries in India have been unable to make any progress in shooting schedules due to the lockdown guidelines.

Telangana chief minister KCR met with the delegation and listened to their demands and finally agreed that shootings can resume from June onwards. However, KCR has also said that post production works for movies can resume immediately. The Tollywood delegation would now meet Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y Jagan Reddy to discuss the same issue and when the industry could resume movie shoots.

However, movie theaters across the country continue to be closed indefinitely on government orders because of the lockdown. There is also no clarity on when the theaters would open considering that it is not safe for the public to gather in masses. KCR said “A lot of people solely depend on the film industry to eke out their living. It’s necessary to resume film shootings, reopen theatres and other production works in a limited way by adhering to lockdown guidelines and other Covid-19 norms. While the post-production activities, which happen indoors, can be resumed with immediate effect, the resumption of film shootings will be allowed in June. The reopening of theatres is still a way off and we will make a decision accordingly soon after assessing the situation (sic.)”

Testing times and restless fans! An unexplainable agony of filmmakers

Coronavirus has changed the dynamics of a lot of businesses across the globe. It’s hard to pick one line of business and say it’s the most affected for the impact is equal and unimaginable. There are few industries who are trying hard to get back up on their feet aftter the government has relaxed few restrictions in the fourth phase of the lockdown. And one such business is cinema. From producers to distributors to exhibitors, every stakeholder is impacted and the range of it cannot be quantified for obvious reasons. While producers have the pressure of heavy interest rates running on the funds they would have borrowed for the film, exhibitors are missing out on the ticket sales since cinema halls are shut. And there are many more such issues that the industry is dealing with.

Amidst all this chaos, there is another pressure on filmmakers – fans and their rising expectations. Many films are at various stages of production and all of them are halted. For eg, the magnum opus Jr NTR-Ram Charan starrer RRR which has completed about 60% of shooting and is waiting to get back on shooting floors. Makers had released a teaser revealing Ram Charan’s character on his birthday. And fans expected a similar thing on Jr NTR’s birthday on May 20. But that didn’t happen and left many fans disappointed. The makers did release a statement saying the lockdown restrictions did not allow them to come up with a special teaser for Jr NTR. That, still, did not change the mood of fans.

Another example is Prabhas’ upcoming film with Radha Krishna Kumar. Fans of the Baahubali star have been storming social media, specially Twitter, and asking for an update from the film. However, the makers seem to be in a tight situation where they are unable to release anything due to the lockdown. As recent as yesterday, fans pooled up and decided to trend a specific hashtag which clearly was intended to abuse and harrass the makers of Prabhas 20. From threats to abuses to demands, the tweets by fans are a mix of everything which are hurled at all parties attached to this untitled project of Prabhas.

All these lead to one question. Is such harsh attitude towards filmmakers justified? This question is only introspective and cannot be thrown by someone to the fans.

These testing times we all are in call for compassion and unfortunately, that lacks at the moment, which is another pressure on directors, producers and parties involved.

Director Raghavendra Rao introduced Mahesh Babu as an actor in the film Rajakumarudu released in 1999 along with Bollywood actress Preity Zinta. This film performed well at the box office and also bagged a Nandi Award for the best home viewing feature film. The songs from this film Rajakumarudu are pure melodies that are still enjoyed by Telugu audiences.

Vishwak Sen’s Tribute Rap Song To Jr NTR Upsets Falaknuma Das Music Composer Vivek Sagar

Actor Vishwak Sen is a big fan of Jr NTR and on NTR’s birthday as a gift, he dedicated Vivek Sagar composed song Mass Ka Das from his directorial Falaknuma Das. This has led to a war of words between the Hit star and music composer Vivek Sagar for using the unreleased song from Falaknuma Das as a tribute to the Young Tiger on his birthday, May 20.

Vivek lashed out on Instagram and commented on the video posted by Vishwak. The Sammohanam music director wrote, “@VishwakSen I’m not associated with this video — I have asked you repeatedly to get this down and you have failed to do so — you have killed the vibe of the song by making this — as an artist I’m truly disappointed with this attitude (sic).”

With Vishwak refusing to remove the video, the composer has approached Sony music to take down the video from social media. “This song is a creative and collaborative effort by many people involved. The song was composed for the film Falaknuma Das, not to make mash-ups and use in birthday tributes. The fact that they have put this up without including it in the OST of the album and without taking my consent is what irks me, ” Vivek was quoted as saying by Times of India.

Meanwhile, Vishwak Sen is no mood to take down the video from social media. According to reports, Vishwak said that, “My production house owns the rights to the song so why should I take it down? The issue happened because my team madethe mistake of not giving credit to Vivek when the video was first put up. I admit my mistake and have apologised to Vivek. But there’s no question of taking down the video.”

However, the mixed rap song from Falaknuma Das is trending with a good number of views both, on Instagram and YouTube.

Veteran Actress Vanisri’s Son Abhinay Venkatesh Karthik Passes Away Due To Heart Attack

Tragedy struck the family of veteran actress Vanisri’s family today as her son Dr. Abhinay Venkatesh Karthik passed away due to a sudden heart attack. Dr Abhinay had a stroke in the early hours of Saturday in Chennai, where he resides, while sleeping. Abhinay completed his medicine degree from the Annapurna Medical College.

Abhinay is a practicing doctor in the hill station town of Ooty. The news of the incident came to light only when his body was brought to his residence in Vashendri home in Chennai. The police have registered a case and will investigate the cause of death as there seems to be some mystery surrounding the demise of Dr Abhinay. The funeral will reportedly take place on Saturday evening. Abhinay is survived by his wife Abhinay Satimani who is also a doctor working at Savitri Manavrali hospital and a son who is four years old.

Abhinay’s mother Vanisri is a popular artist in Tollywood and has worked for more than a decade. Vanisri also acted in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films as well. Some of the hits Vanisri starred in include Krishnaveni, Prem Nagar and Dussehra Bullodu.

The entire film industry is in shock at the unfortunate demise of Dr Abhinay and have extended their condolences and prayers to the family of Vanisri in these testing times. Thrashing all the rumours about her remuneration, Tamannaah said,”There is no truth to these fictitious stories of detrimental nature that are being planted constantly against me and seem to be a figment of someone’s imagination. The production house is still very much in touch with my management team and we are hoping to take a decision once life returns to some sort of normalcy. Unfortunately, all negotiations and discussions which started in February were kept on hold by the production house due to the outbreak of COVID-19. We are living in uncertain times and I don’t see any films going on floors till safety and health measures are fully in place. I am very professional in all my film dealings and the question of rejecting a film opposite Ravi Teja is out of the question given my cordial working relationship with him. I would like to do another 10 films with him given a chance,” Tamannaah was quoted as saying by IANS.

She also questioned why is it that male actors are not asked about their remunerations. “We need to demolish these unbiased perceptions of an actress not deserving remunerations in higher brackets similar to an actor. Why is it that the same questions are never raised when it is pertaining to an actor? As an integral part of the film industry, actresses too, have worked very hard to reach where their destinations and every film needs a female lead just like a male lead to be successful. Why can’t a female actress enjoy the tag of being the highest paid or is it just a male entitlement? New decade, new mindset, new rules is the order of the day,” she added.

The movie industry has been impacted on a large scale due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus forced the central government to enforce a strict lockdown. Even before the lockdown was imposed, movie theaters and shopping malls were ordered to shut down which meant that movies could not be released and with the lockdown, even shooting schedules have been completely halted overnight. This meant that the livelihood of many daily wage workers in the industry is affected as there were no more jobs.

As the lockdown slowly progressed into its fourth part, lockdown restrictions have been considerably eased and life is slowly returning to normal in the country. However, theaters and malls continue to be closed and movie schedules halted. Tollywood celebrities Chiranjeevi, SS Rajamouli, Nagarjuna and many others met the Minister of Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav to discuss the possibility of resuming movie shootings.

The delegation of the representatives of Tollywood can breathe a sigh of relief now as CM KCR gave the nod to resume shootings from June. Therefore, we might see more movies releasing on the OTT platforms in the near future and it may become the norm in the future where we can see filmmakers having the choice of releasing their movies in theaters or on OTTs.

Rana also revealed that they both know each other for a long time and Miheeka lives next to his residence in Hyderabad.

Nishabdham is one of the highly anticipated films awaiting a release by fans of Anushka Shetty, Madhavan and movie buffs in general. The movie is touted to be a thriller and the trailer which released in March worked wonders in creating a strong hype for the movie. The movie was supposed to release in April and unfortunately could not release as the lockdown was already running which meant movie theaters were closed. Even now, theaters across the country continue to be closed on government orders and there is no clarity on when they would reopen.

In light of this development a lot of movies which were supposed to be released in April and May have been stalled. Therefore, producers have begun to consider releasing the movies directly on OTT streaming platforms due to this situation. The same rumour has been running regarding Nishabdham as well that producers are considering an OTT release. However, one of the producers of Nishabdham Kona Venkat offered his clarification regarding these rumours. In a post on Twitter he said that a theatrical release for Nishabdham is the first priority and if that is not possible due to unfavourable situations then the producers would consider an OTT release. Earlier, in an exclusive interview with us, director Hemanth Madhukar said that they received offers from various OTT platforms to release the movie on OTT.

Lot of speculations r being made on the release of our film NISHABDHAM in the media.We would like to clarify that “Theatrical release is our top PRIORITY.If the situation isn’t favourable for a long time then our alternate would be to release on OTT platform”. Hope for the best👍

In a latest post made by Mahesh Babu on his Instagram, Mahesh Babu can be seen comparing heights with his son Gautam. Although Mahesh Babu looks taller by almost half a foot, Gautam is tall enough himself that he is almost eye to eye with Mahesh Babu. This has offered fans a glimpse into the hitherto unknown personal life of their superstar.

It is being speculated that on March 31st there could be an announcement of Mahesh Babu’s next with Parasuram but however, no official statement has been released. Rajamouli also confirmed his next will be with Mahesh Babu after RRR.

And now, a doctor named Senthilkumar who is working in a private clinic in Chennai has posted on his social media that he and his associates dance to ‘Vaathi Coming’ song at normal intervals. He has added that because of the rising number of COVID 19 patients in the city has lead to a lot of stress but the Vijay and Anirudh song fills in as a pressure buster for them. The song seems to have become a huge stress reliever for them and social media is abuzz with this piece of news.

The condition of doctors and medical professionals in the coronavirus time is profoundly burdening as they must be on their feet constantly and can’t return home to their families. It is the obligation of each resident to help them by basically remaining at home and rehearsing cleanliness and social distancing which would guarantee that a lesser number of COVID patients.

After surviving more than two months of COVID 19 lockdown, the government has eased the lockdown with certain restrictions and regulations that have to be followed. While everything is trying to get back to normal, offices have been opened, flights are back and people are back on the streets. While life has resumed post lockdown, Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu has a special message about it as he urged on how important it is to wear a mask. Although the lockdown has been eased, there are certain rules like wearing a mask and sanitising is very important.

Superstar Mahesh Babu shared his thoughts on this and wrote on Twitter, “We are opening up. Slowly, but surely. In a time like this, masks are mandatory. Make it a point to wear a mask every time you step out, that’s least we can do to protect ourselves and others. It may seem odd, but it is the need of the hour and we must get used to it. One step at a time! Let’s adapt to the new normal and get life back on track. It’s cool to be masked. I am. Are you?.”

Yesterday, after a meeting with the Minister of Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav, it was decided to commence post-production works amid the lockdown. However, the government hasn’t decided until now whether the shooting can be commenced too. But, the government of Telangana has already issued notices to not reopen cinema halls for the next two months.
