The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi implemented a nationwide lockdown on March 24th for three weeks in order to stop the spread of the highly infectious COVID-19 virus. India is able to still keep its positive cases relatively lesser than all the developed countries because of the foresight of the government and also to the highly committed and dedicated healthcare workers, doctors, nurses and essential service providers.
Daggubati Venkatesh took to his Twitter to offer words of encouragement to all the people working on the frontlines to fight the COVID-19 virus. Venkatesh said “Let’s take a moment to wholeheartedly thank all the superheroes saving lives in hospitals, the police force for fighting a bigger battle against COVID-19. Thank you for safeguarding our lives and our families during these tough times! (sic.)” Vekatesh even calls them the real heroes referring to the sacrifice they are making to make sure the rest of the population stays safe.

Venkatesh recently took part in the 9PM 9minutes activity called for by Narendra Modi when he asked the nation to come out on their balconies at 9 PM and hold diyas or lights as an act of solidarity against the COVID-19 virus and also to support the frontline workers.
