Icon Star Allu Arjun today interacted with the media hours after Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued statements against him on the floor of the Telangana Assembly. The actor said that his character has been assassinated overnight.

The stampede was an unfortunate accident. Everyone was concerned with the safety of the public. It was purely an accident. My sincere condolences to the bereaved family. A lot of misinformation and false allegations are swarming around. I am not speaking out against any leader or the government. We thank the government for the special ticket rate hikes.
It feels extremely humiliating to be at the receiving end of baseless allegations. It is nothing but character assassination. Heresy and wrong information are going around. Before the whole country, my character has been assassinated. I am hurt.
Despite the success of my movie, I have cancelled all success meets and celebrations. For the past two weeks, I haven’t stepped out of my home. I have been stuck at home. Since the stampede tragedy happened when I was present, I am apologetic.
Watching my movies in theatres is important to me. I like to gauge the audience’s reactions. It’s a learning curve.
It’s false to say that I had no permission to visit the Sandhya Theatre. The police themselves were managing the crowds that evening. I didn’t take any procession or road show. Any celebrity or leader waves at crowds so that they start moving away. Thousands came to see me. Waving at them was the least I could do. Once celebs wave at the crowds, they start relenting. That happens everywhere.
No cop met me inside the theatre. I was told about the overcrowding by my team. After I was informed about the overcrowding, I came out of the theatre midway. I didn’t watch my movie fully. Next morning, I came to know about the woman’s death. I was shocked. When I was in the theatre premises, I had no clue about the stampede. As soon as I came to know about the child’s hospitalization, I asked Bunny Vasu to meet the family. He advised me not to go to the hospital. After a case was filed against me, my legal team asked me to not meet the child’s family. Just because I didn’t meet them, it doesn’t me I am indifferent.
I am a strong person. But I can’t take these allegations. I am publicly humiliated.
I urge the media not to ask me questions that might make me lose my balance. I don’t want to say anything that might attract legal issues.
