Speaking at the Pushpa 2 Thank You Meet, director Sukumar thanked Mythri Movie Makers for being by his side since Rangasthalam, the 2018 blockbuster headlined by Ram Charan. He thanked producers Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni for according creative liberty to their filmmakers, including himself.
“The success of Pushpa should be credited to our producers,” Sukumar said. In his long speech, the Sensational Director thanked everyone, including the small artists from Pushpa 2.
Sukumar said that his name would be incomplete without Devi Sri Prasad. “The glow I saw on Devi’s face when I first narrated the story to him is unforgettable. He assured me the film will go places,” the filmmaker said. Pushpa 2’s songs have become chartbusters.
Sukumar then praised the Icon Star and spoke of what he means to him. “If there is anyone in the world who blindly trusts me, it is Bunny. Which is why I approached him with Pushpa even before the story was ready. I attribute the entire success to him. I knew that his performance would be of a National Award-winning standard. He is a complete hero who can dance, fight, cry, laugh, etc. An old person recently told me Allu Arjun is like SV Ranga Rao. Another person of his age said that SVR couldn’t dance and fight,” Sukumar said.
