The much-anticipated film Kannappa has a new release date, set for June 27th, announced through a poster launch by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Actor-producer Vishnu Manchu met the BJP leader, whom he described as having a “humble and powerful aura.”
Vishnu Manchu expressed his admiration, calling Adityanath one of his favorite heroes, and gifted him a painting by artist Ramesh Gorijala on the occasion. Dr. Mohan Babu and actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva were also present on the occasion.

The movie, based on the life and times of Bhakta Kannappa, was recently postponed due to pending VFX works. “Bringing KANNAPPA to life has been an incredible journey, and we are committed to delivering a cinematic spectacle that meets the Highest Standards. To ensure this, we need a few more weeks to perfect a key episode requiring extensive VFX work. This means the release of the project will be a bit delayed,” Vishnu said in a statement.
Kannappa is produced by AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. Prabhas and Akshay Kumar have powerful cameos in Kannappa. Mohanlal also has a cameo.
