The actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who has made a name for herself in the film industry, has several Telugu and Tamil hits on her list of accomplishments. Samantha has consistently been considered one of South India’s most fashionable actors, despite being the subject of intense criticism, based on internet debates and social media trends.
Samantha, who was given the distinction of speaking at the India Today Conclave 2024, covered a wide range of subjects, including her health, movies, and her experience with imposter syndrome. Samantha confessed in her interview with India Today that, considering her humble beginnings, she felt constantly compelled to please everyone.
“I am no longer that girl like in the start of my career. Samantha recalled, “I was a scared puppy who desperately wanted to fit in and was scared all the time.
Samantha stated, “I worked from a place of fear until very recently. I’m not sure if I’ve ever handled situations with kindness and love, but I am aware that I have done things out of fear of failing. Imposter syndrome struck me. What if I were to wake up the next day and lose all of things? I would be terrified. Constantly.”
“I have blockbuster movies on my resume,” Samantha remarked, reflecting on how no blockbuster had ever brought her true satisfaction. “However, I have to admit that I never took credit for my accomplishments and instead always attributed the success of my movies to technicians, other leads, story, etc., which prevented me from enjoying my superhits.”
“I would be the one who had five hours of sleep and bragged about being super productive,” Samantha stated, gesturing to her “Hustle Culture.”
“I would multitask tenfold. Although the hustling culture was inspiring me, it was also destroying me”, Samantha explained. She indicated that she has taken everything slower for the sake of her mental and physical relief.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu describes how, on some days, she would wake up worrying about what vile individuals might write about her or how they would make disparaging remarks about her on social media. “I have evolved from waking up anxious, to taking it all easy”, she stated.
During the discussion about being the ‘woman to blame’ even when she was sick, Samantha said, “Greater the pain, greater the reward. It wouldn’t be the other way for me. I will climb up the mountain, I will reach the top, knowing that there will be another mountain to climb”.
Additionally, Samantha Ruth Prabhu talked about how, after disclosing her myositis diagnosis, she received the moniker the “Sympathy Queen.” Samantha claims that with her unwavering outlook, she is ready to take on the world with greater tenacity and fortitude.
Samantha recently appeared alongside Vijay Deverakonda in the film “Kushi,” and she hasn’t signed a film project in a while. However, she will make an appearance in Citadel in Hindi. The ‘Eega’ actress has launched a health-focused podcast in an effort to inform her audience about autoimmune illnesses and other topics.
