Chandramukhi, the 2005 blockbuster which gave rise to a spurt of remakes in various Indian languages, is getting a sequel in Hindi. No, we are not talking about the Tamil version, but the Hindi version getting a sequel.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa, an official remake of Chandramukhi which released in 2007, is getting a sequel.Bhushan Kumar, the producer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, already registered the sequel officially.
Sources say, Bhushan wanted to start a sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa for a while now. He liked the idea of Farhad Samji, the writer who approached him with a script and gave the nod immediately.
However, there is no clarity yet as to whether Akshay Kumar or Vidya Balan would play the lead roles again. It should be noted, Chandramukhi (2005,) starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara, was a remake of the Malayalam superhit Manichitrathazhu(1993,) which featured the ‘complete actor’ Mohan Lal and Shobhana in the lead.
