The Hindavi Swaraj blockbuster Chhaava has achieved a remarkable feat, grossing Rs 9.46 Cr in just three days at the Telugu box office. The film was released in Telugu on March 7th.
When it was released on Friday on about 500 screens in the Telugu States, the openings were expected to be highly encouraging. That’s what happened over the weekend. “It has been roaring response in theatres as audiences celebrate the legacy and valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj! Chhaava is a tribute to his unmatched courage and strength. From families to youth, the theatres are buzzing with a patriotic vibe!” Geetha Arts wrote on social media.
Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal as a Maratha warrior, has been released by Geetha Arts Distributors.
Starring Rashmika Mandanna as Sambhaji’s wife, the film also features Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh and Neil Bhoopalam. “Saurabh Goswami’s cinematography is largely good, while AR Rahman‘s background music clicks. Chhaava makes for a good watch on the big screen. The ambitious historical action film has commendable performances by the primary cast. The grand production design adds to the film’s value,” we wrote in our review.
