The historical epic Chhaava was released in Telugu on February 7th. The Telugu-dubbed version of the film has achieved a remarkable feat, amassing over Rs 10.91 crore in gross earnings within just four days of its release.
The film passed the first Monday test by grossing nearly Rs 1.50 crore at the Telugu box office. Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal as a Maratha warrior, has been released by Geetha Arts Distributors.
Starring Rashmika Mandanna as Sambhaji’s wife, the film also features Akshaye Khanna. Chhaava is directed by Laxman Utekar. Ashutosh Rana (as Sersenapati Hambirrao Mohite), Vineet Kumar (as Kavi Kalash), Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, Santosh Juvekar, Alok Nath, Pradeep Rawat, Kiran Karmarkar, Balaji Manohar and others have played different roles. The music has been composed by AR Rahman. Vicky Kaushal’s performance is matched by Akshaye Khanna’s in this one. Post the release of the film, several videos of public reactions have gone viral on social media. The Hindi-language original netted Rs 500 Cr at the Indian box office.
