On April 19, 2019, five years ago, Natural Star Nani’s highly praised sports drama “Jersey” was released. One of Nani’s best films to date, Gowtam Thinnanuri’s Jersey has received accolades for direction, storyline, script, editing, music, emotional impact, and exceptional performances since its premiere.
In honor of the movie’s fifth anniversary, Jersey’s creators announced on social media earlier today that it would be getting a major re-release.
According to the announcement, Nani and Shraddha Srinath starrer Jersey will have special shows on April 20. More details about the theaters and bookings will be released by the makers soon.
Jersey was produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner Sithara Entertainments. South India’s most happening musician Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for the movie, while the Cinematography was handled by Sanu Varghese and edited by Naveen Nooli.
Jersey Story:
In his late thirties, Arjun, a gifted but unsuccessful cricket player, decides to take up the sport again to represent the Indian team and grant his son’s longing for a jersey.
But in the process, he succumbs to his heart disease, which he had kept a secret from his family. The narrative is a roller coaster that shows the emotional toll that a devoted father must take to maintain his son’s view of him as a hero.
Even a Hindi version of Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur, was developed, and it received a great reception upon its premiere.
