Today marks the release of Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth’s highly anticipated film “Lal Salaam”, in which Superstar Rajinikanth will be seen in an extended cameo. As the movie is helmed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, he writes an emotional note to his daughter and posts a cute photo of the two of them.
Rajinikanth posted a photo of himself and his daughter Aishwarya on X on Friday, February 9, along with a comment expressing his hope for the movie’s success. “My anbu salaam to my beloved Aishwarya. I pray to the almighty that your movie Lal Salaam will be a huge success,” he wrote in Tamil.

The photo displayed the father-daughter pair visiting a university, with Aishwarya seen caring for her dad, seated in a wheelchair. In a recent interview, Aishwarya spoke about her experience directing her dad- the Superstar.
Aishwarya said, “Directing Appa (father) was something I never expected in my life to start with, it was a blessing. Working with him was like taking a tiny master class every day about how he conducts himself as a professional artist in the industry and on set. I believe that everyone in the profession should take a cue from his commitment, love, and sincerity about work—even at this age and stage of life.
Aishwarya additionally expressed how much she respected AR Rahman, calling him a “fakir” who embodied honesty and integrity.
Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, while Rajinikanth has an extended cameo. Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman has provided the music for this Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions.
The storyline of ‘Lal Salaam’ purports to investigate the links between cricket and communal strife, with a focus on harmony among the community. Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev plays a cameo in Lal Salaam, while Senthil, Jeevitha, Thangadurai, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thambi Ramaiah are among the other cast members.
