Synopsis:

Beast Telugu Movie Review:
Story:
A group of terrorists hijack the East Coast mall in Chennai city, take the visitors as hostages and demand the release of Umar Farooq, a notorious terrorist from Tihar jail. Veera Raghavan (Vijay), India’s best RAW agent gets trapped in the mall along with his love interest Preeti (Pooja Hegde) and few other visitors. How Veera saves the visitors by eliminating the terrorists is the rest of the story.
On-Screen Performances:
The film Beast offers the powerful screen presence of Thalapathy Vijay. Vijay as India’s special agent delivered a flawless performance in the action sequences, right from the opening sequence. Vijay’s dance moves in the Arabic Kuthu song are so graceful and effortless. Vijay’s style and grace in the song is purely a treat to the fans. Also, Vijay’s touch of humour and his timing in delivering the comedy is an additional package. Vijay’s on-screen chemistry with Pooja Hegde worked out so perfectly. Pooja looks so pretty and beautiful, just like in her other films. Selvaraghavan, the director turned actor for Beast perfectly fits his role and gives his best. With all other characters just fitting their roles and filling the story, Thalapathy Vijay is the sole runner of the film’s plot, motive, action and everything else. Beast is Vijay’s intense one man show.

Nelson Dilipkumar’s trademark writing and brilliant direction are delivered at the best and makes the film Beast as one of the masterclass of modern Indian commercial films. The opening sequence and the interval block are the major highlights. The action sequences are lit, particularly the opening sequence and they are crafted so beautifully. Anirudh’s music score added as a perfect blend to the action. The music of Beast Mode song is an absolute pleasure to be experienced in theatres. The CGI works need a special mention and they are top notch. Also, the sound design, especially in all the actions parts is a great work. Manoj’s cinematography is really fantastic even though he is alloted a limited location as per the story requirement. Arabic Kuthu song’s picturization is one of the best in recent times. Credit goes to the choreographer Jani for sure.

Beast is a perfect mass feast to the Indian film lovers with the balanced amounts of action and humour. The makers made the film perfectly set for Vijay’s mass appeal, but without losing the strength and quality of the story. A commercial package in the first half, banger at the interval block and unlimited Beast mode action in the second half and what else an audience need from a Thalapathy film. Nelson’s gripping screenplay and Vijay’s standard performance are coupled so well and made the film a must watch blockbuster for the audience.
