Filmmaker Gunasekhar was lately in the news for rumours, which stated that he was in a tough phase in his career with recent films tanking at the box office. The Okkadu director has now joined hands with Rana Daggunati for a project titled Hiranyakashyap, which was in the news a while ago. Certain rumours also claimed that Gunasekhar approached an OTT platform for his digital debut but has been turned down. However, seems like these are just mere rumours as director Gunasekhar took to social media to clear the air about OTT rumours.
Gunasekhar took to social media and shut down these rumours. In a statement made by his team, he made it clear that he has no interest in even making an OTT film or a web-series. The statement reads, “This is to clarify that Gunasekhar garu has never approached any OTT platforms, neither does he have any interest in that orientation. Please do not believe, carry or spread any BASELESS RUMOURS claiming otherwise.” (sic)
The team of Gunasekhar further promised that an important update is coming their way. The team wrote, “Very soon Gunasekhar garu would be giving an update…Do stay tuned for that! Stay Safe! Stay Well!” (sic)
