Allu Arjun’s next project is titled Pushpa and is being directed by Sukumar. The first look along with the title were revealed on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday and fans are excited to see Allu Arjun in a new rugged avatar. The poster shows Allu Arjun sporting an overgrown hairdo and an unkempt rugged look along with a beard. The poster gives off a slight Rangasthalam vibe, another movie which was directed by Sukumar and which went on to become a massive hit at the box office.
There is a new buzz going around regarding Pushpa and if Devi Sri Prasad’s hint is any indication, we might see a sizzling party number with a Bollywood diva. Disha Patani might be roped in to appear in this sizzling song composed by Devi Sri Prasad. If this news turns out to be true, fans of Allu Arjun are in for a treat.
The story of Pushpa is reportedly set against the backdrop of Red Sanders smuggling mafia from Chittoor. Allu Arjun was specially trained by linguistic experts to nail down the Chittoor slang and it is also learnt that the leading lady Rashmika Mandanna is also being trained by experts to learn the Chittoor accent. Allu Arjun might reportedly play the role of a don and Rashmika Mandanna that of an Indian Forest Service officer.
Pushpa is being produced by Mythri Film Makers while Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music. Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Vennela Kishore will be seen in supporting roles. There were rumours of a second heroine who would be Allu Arjun’s lady love in the movie were reported, but it was quickly clarified that there is no room for a second heroine.
