After many controversies and negotiations between the actor and the producer in the last 2 years, finally the film 1945 hit the big screens on 7th January, 2022. Neither the makers did any promotions nor the audience had any expectations for the film. But the sure shot assurance given to the audience was the trailer of the film. The trailer looked interesting with the setup of the film. Let us look if it did reach those standards.
The film 1945 was directed by Sathyasiva. The film was actually produced by SN Rajarajan in the beginning of the commencement of the shoot. But due to various reasons, the film was later handovered to C Kalyan who released the film finally in theatres. The film stars Rana Daggubati and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles.

Story:
Netaji Subash Chandra Bose formed INA, Indian National Army in 1945. Aadi (Rana Daggubati) goes to Burma at the same time to look after his family business. He gets engaged to a British Tasildar’s daughter (Regina). The atrocities of the British rule gets increased and Aadi decides to fight against them. How he faces the British army forms the rest of the story.
On Screen Performances:
Rana looked exceptional in the role of Aadi. He performed great in the action scenes. Regina looked traditional and was very impressive with her performance. Saptagiri produced some laughs. Nassar was fit for the role of a government servant.
Off Screen HIghlights:
The backdrop of the story itself was a great choice. The Pre-Independence set up was perfectly shown with some good production design. The selection of the locations was great and the visuals perfectly match the ambience. The dialogues written by Akula Siva exposes revolutionary thoughts.
Endnote:
With Rana not being comfortable with the makers, the film had some issues. The climax of the film was left unfinished. Despite these issues, the film 1945 had a very strong storyline deep inside and the setup perfectly reflects that. The film is watchable for its revolutionary and patriotic ideas.
