The shooting of Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated sports flick Liger has been cancelled due to a sudden rise in coronavirus cases. The Geetha Govindam hero took to Twitter to reveal the same and he also shared his picture with his pet dog Storm.
Vijay Deverakonda wrote, ”Apparently, it’s another wave Storm. Shoots cancelled. Back to us just chilling at home.” Though a bit upset, he appeared to be relaxing at home.

Liger, one of the most talked-about films, features Ananya Pandey opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Boxing champion Mike Tyson is making his debut in Tollywood with the flick creating a big talk about the movie. About twenty five per cent of the film’s shoot is pending, as per reports. Liger’s remaining portion will be shot on a set in Hyderabad.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger also stars Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, Ali, Vishu Reddy, Makarand Deshpande, Getup Srinu, Abdul Quadir Amin and others in key roles. In addition to Liger, a few movies also expected to cancel their shoot because of rising Covid concerns.
