Synopsis:
Vikram is the biggest multi-starrer in India in recent times. Three superstars of Indian Cinema, the sources of enormous talent and immense following, Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil acted together in Vikram. Kudos to the director Lokesh Kanagaraj for bringing them together on board for a film. The three actors are just enough to imagine the range of the film. In addition to that, Lokesh’s blockbuster form was added to the film. Vikram showed the signs of a high octane action entertainer just with the trailer and the audiences had gone mad for it. Now the madness continues and reaches the peaks with the release of the film. Vikram is getting humongous response and love from the audiences across India right from the very first show. The film stands out to be a blockbuster and let’s take a deep look into the elements and highlights of this multi-starrer blockbuster film.

“Vikram” Telugu Movie Review:
Story:
A mysterious gang of masked men kills many police officials in a series of murders. The gang is on a war against the entire system which protects a fearsome drug lord Santhanam (Vijay Sethupathi). A black ops cop, Amar (Fahadh Faasil) goes after Karnan (Kamal Haasan), the gang leader of masked men to put an end to the series of murders. What happens next? Who takes over whom among Karnan, Santhanam and Amar is the rest of the story.
On-Screen Performances:
If you are a Kamal fan, this film is a feast for you. If you are a fan of some good performances, again Vikram is for you too. So whatever category you belong to, Vikram satisfies you for sure because of the master of acting, Kamal Haasan. Kamal gave an unbelievable performance throughout the film, particularly in the action scenes. His expressions are priceless. The first half of the film has very little screen presence of Kamal, but he is always there with his character. And when you get into second half, Kamal will grab all your attention towards him with spell bounding performance.
Fahadh as Amar, a black ops cop and Vijay Sethupathi as Santhanam, a ruthless drug lord are very much effective with their characters on screen. Sethupathi’s character and performance shows the likes of the one he played in Master.
Suriya’s cameo at the end is what surprises you even though you have an idea before. Suriya’s character is a perfect setup for the next instalment of so called Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Lokesh Kanagaraj’s attempt of expanding the world of Vikram with a few references from the spy world of Kamal’s Vikram from 1986 and drug world of his own Kaithi from 2019 is brilliant and it came out very well. This attempt is purely his writing excellence. Lokesh is successful in bringing together the mysteries of a spy film and thrills of an action film. The plot and intriguing screenplay are the major highlights of the film. Besides high octane action in the film, Lokesh also managed to draw the emotional side from the subplot he has.
The action scenes throughout the film are the best in recent times from Kollywood. The entire credit goes to the stunt coordinator.
The visuals too grab our attention very much. Cinematographer Girish has put his best for a heavy action film like Vikram.
Anirudh Ravichander is just like another hero for Vikram, but he is in background always. The audiences can’t even imagine atleast one scene of the entire film without Anirudh’s banging score.
Endnote:
Vikram is a solid action packed film with many high and mass moments throughout the film. The film is technically very strong with an interesting plot and intriguing screenplay. Lokesh Kanagaraj welcomes the audiences into his universe right at the very beginning of the film and thereafter, the show belongs to the trio Kamal, Vijay and Fahadh with their power packed performances. You might not be a great admirer of action films, but once after you watch Vikram, your opinion changes for sure. And that’s Vikram for you.
