Vaarasudu is the Telugu title for Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu, which is going to be released for Sankranti 2023. The film’s release date has been fixed to be January 11 in both Telugu and Tamil, as announced by the makers earlier. But with the other two big releases in Telugu, Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya for Sankranti, there has always been a problem with the distribution of theatres for all three movies. Vaarasudu, Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya were announced to be released on consecutive days, January 11, 12 and 13, where each film could have a great opening day but struggle the following days due to a lack of screens. To put an end to this problem, Dil Raju came up with a solution that is shocking to everyone.
Dil Raju conducted a press meet today about Vaarasudu and spoke about the box office competition. He also announced an update about the release of the film Vaarasudu in the Telugu states, which is shocking to the media and the public. Vaarasudu release date has been postponed to January 14, after the releases of Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. Dil Raju made this decision consciously in order to give Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi films as many theatres as possible. Dil Raju said that he gave priority to the Telugu films, and so he made this decision. Dil Raju is quite happy to move the release date of his film as he is confident in the film’s family content irrespective of the release date.

Vaarasudu is written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Dil Raju produced the film under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Rashmika Mandanna is the lead actress in the film. The film has a huge cast, including Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Srikanth, Khushboo, Sangitha and SJ Suryah. Thaman S composed the music for the film. Vaarasudu, aka Varisu, is going to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
