Sai Pallavi and Rana Daggubati starrer Virata Parvam is going to be released in a couple of days, dated 17th June. Sai Pallavi and Rana played the roles of Vennela and Ravanna respectively. The film is based on some true events that happened in the 1990s in Warangal. The film also focuses on the Naxalite movement in Telangana in that period. The makers of Virata Parvam said that the film is a woman centric one and Sai Pallavi is the hero of the film. Rana too is promoting the film the same way. The same can be seen in the trailer of the film too. Virata Parvam is Vennela’s story. Sai Pallavi recently interacted with the media during the promotions of Virata Parvam and here is what she said about the film.
Speaking about the film Virata Parvam, Sai Pallavi said that Virata Parvam is a very honest film with rawness and purity in the characters, especially Vennela. Sai Pallavi felt that the story and the world of Virata Parvam gave her a new feeling and a new challenge and so she accepted to do the film, soon after Venu Udugula narrated the script to her.
Sai Pallavi shared her feelings about meeting Sarala, the real-life Vennela a few days back. Pallavi said that meeting Sarala was a very emotional and inspiring moment. She also revealed that Vennela’s character has innocence, courage and spirit to face anything, which is absorbed from Sarala’s life.
Sai Pallavi also shared her happiness about Rana getting on board for the character of Ravanna in the film. “Venu Udugula narrated the story to me soon after taking approval from the producer Sudhakar Cherukuri. Later the script went to Suresh Productions for the association. Rana loved the script very much and came on board by himself to play the role of Ravanna. Thereafter, the range of the film went high. Rana took great care of the film to bring it in a beautiful shape today,” said Sai Palllavi.
Sai Pallavi praised Venu Udugula, the director of the film, a lot for his brilliant writing. “Venu is one of the best writers I have ever seen. There is a lot of depth in his writing. He does a lot of research for his films and the best stories come out of that research. I wish Venu to write many more honest stories and I hope that I will be a part in most of them,” said Sai Pallavi about Venu Udugula.
Sai Pallavi also revealed that Rana arranged a special screening for Tollywood’s top directors Trivikram and Sukumar. She said that both the directors loved the film very much and they congratulated Venu and Rana for making such an honest and beautiful film.
