Director Shankar Shanmugam and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan have reunited after an extensive hiatus thanks to the highly anticipated release of “Indian 2.” The talk of the town for some time now is the movie, which on July 12, 2024, will be concurrently released in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil.
The first song, which was quite patriotic, had already been issued by the creators in multiple languages. The soul-satisfying love ballad “Chengaluva,” which is the second single from the film, was written by Saraswati Putra Ramajogayya Sastry. Master Anirudh Ravichander’s calming musical creation is enhanced with a soulful touch by the invigorating voices of Abby V & Shruthika Samudhrala.

Indian 2, a follow-up to the 1996 movie Indian, sees the return of Senapathy, a former freedom fighter who is now a vigilante who hunts down dishonest and corrupt people who, in his opinion, are abusing the freedom he fought for.
Following its 2017 announcement, there were multiple production setbacks for the movie. After 28 years, Shankar and Kamal Haasan are getting back together for the movie.
In Indian 2, which is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian, Senapathy, a former freedom fighter turned vigilante who hunts down dishonest and corrupt people who he believes are abusing the freedom he fought for, makes a comeback.
Indian 2 stars Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Samuthirakani in significant roles, while Kajal Aggarwal plays the lead female role. Renowned Lyca Productions in collaboration with Red Giant Pictures is producing Indian 2, while Anirudh Ravichander is handling the soundtrack.
