With the postponement of many Telugu films, including the Pan-Indian films due to COVID, all the release dates got shuffled. With no idea of when the pandemic severity would get settled, the makers of Telugu films could not strongly promise fixed dates for the audience. However, a few films came up with new release dates and the rest are still looking forward to a proper release.
RRR, the most awaited Pan-Indian film from the director SS Rajamouli was actually planned to be released on 7th January 2022. But the pandemic’s uncertainty and the unoccupied theatres forced the makers of the film to postpone the release. The makers interestingly announced two new release dates for the film. The film would release on 18th March 2022 if the pandemic situation gets settled. Otherwise, the release date would be 28th April 2022.

Radhe Shyam also got postponed due to the current pandemic situation. The film’s original release date was 14th January 2022. But after the postponement, the new release date was not yet announced by the makers. They announced that the film would be released once the current situation gets controlled.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Bheemla Nayak were actually planned to be released for Pongal. But to create a healthy environment in the industry keeping the Pan-Indian films on notice, both Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan agreed to change their films release dates and they did so. The makers of Bheemla Nayak are currently looking forward to the release of the film on 25th February 2022. There might be changes in the release date as the situation currently is out of hand. Sarkaru Vaari Paata makers announced the release of the film would be on 1st April, 2022.

Acharya coming as a multi-starrer with both Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan together is also coming for 1st April 2022 on the eve of Ugadi. So there might be a collision between the films Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Acharya in the release dates. The audience needs to wait if any one of the films change their release date or would they give a tough competition at the box office by releasing on the same date.

However, with all these big films changing their release dates from Pongal to summer, there would be a tough competition at the box office among them for this summer. Meanwhile, the Telugu audiences are so happy with all these films coming at the same time. They are excited for a summer treat this year from Tollywood.
