Sobhita Dhulipala To Join Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan

Ponninyin Selvan is an ambitious project directed by Mani Ratnam.  Ponniyin Selvan is based on a historical fiction novel of the same name, written by author Kalki Krishnamurthy.  The novel tells the story of Rajaraja Chola I of the Chola dynasty.

Mani Ratnam already signed on some big names for Ponninyin Selvan, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.  The movie has an ensemble cast consisting of Karthi, Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Vikram Prabhu, Jayam Ravi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aishwarya Lekshmi and many others.

The latest to join Ponniyin Selvan is Sobhita Dhulipala.  In a simple Instagram post with the poster of Ponniyin Selvan, Sobhita Dhulipala revealed the news.  Soon after, congratulatory messages started pouring in.  Dulquer Salmaan left a congratulatory message as well, terming the news as huge.

Sobhita Dhulipala was seen in the Netflix anthology movie Ghost Stories in one of the episodes directed by Anurag Kashyap.  Sobhita earlier appeared in the web series Made In Heaven and Bard Of Blood.  Sobhita will also be seen in Laxmmi Bomb, which stars Akshay Kumar.
