Nani is back to hit the big screens after a gap of 2 years with Shyam Singha Roy. His last two films V and Tuck Jagadish got released on Amazon Prime. So Nani fans are eagerly waiting to see their Natural Star back on the big screen with Shyam Singha Roy.
Shyam Singha Roy is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under the banner of Niharika Entertainments. The film stars Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as the lead actress alongside Nani. The film created a buzz with the unique storyline as revealed in the trailer. The film was made with a budget of 23 crores and was released in theatres on 24th December 2021.

Story:
Vasu who makes a film with Keerthy falls in an unexpected problem due to the legal issues of his film. Vasu selects the stories from the writings of Shyam Singha Roy to make his films. Who is Shyam Singha Roy and how they both are related to each other is the rest of the story.
On Screen Performances:
Nani perfectly fits the role of Shyam Singha Roy and plays the character with ease. His performance is brilliant in the second half of the film. Sai Pallavi proves her strength of acting once again. The dance moves in the song Pranavalaya as Devadasi are especially elegant to watch on the screen. Krithi Shetty did a good job.
Off Screen Highlights:
The storyline itself is the best part of the film. The writer Janga Satyadev needs to be totally credited for this. Standing up to the writing brilliance, the visuals are equally good. It is so happy to see such stories and filmmaking coming from a fresher like Rahul Sankrityan. Also, the cinematography and the music are the two pillars of the film. The art department needs a special mention. The production values of the film are so high and lavish. Being a debutant producer, Venkat Boyanapalli needs to be appreciated for bringing out the film so beautifully without any compromise. Besides all, the film is blessed with the lyrics from the great and late Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry.

Shyam Singha Roy needs to be watched for sure for the presentation from both the makers and the actors. The rebellion against the Devadasi system set in Kolkata in the 1970s is beautifully presented to the audience without any remark.
