The pan Indian actor Prabhas and KGF Director Prashanth Neel, will be collaborating for the first time for an upcoming film titled Salaar. Shruti Haasan was roped in as the leading lady, last week, on her birthday. The team of Salaar began shooting and Shruti Haasan opened up about working with Prabhas for the first time
The actress gushed about joining the cast and thanked Prabhas who broke the news and gave her a warm welcome on her special day. Shruti heaped praises on her co star and said, “I’m really glad to be working with Prabhas as I haven’t before! He’s a really warm and dedicated person and it’s a lot of good energy (sic.)”
When asked about her role in Salaar, the actress shared that she could not divulge details but promised the best out of the film. Shruti said, “2021 is a very jam packed year for me already and my plan is to work hard and be as creative as I can be in all my endeavours. I can’t say much about my role in ‘Salaar’ but it’s unique in comparison to what I’ve done before and I’m excited to play the character the director has etched out (sic.)”

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar is touted to be an underworld action drama. Salaar is backed by renowned producer Vijay Kiragandur under his home production banner Hombale films. Cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, who worked with Prashanth Neel on all his films, Ugramm, KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2, will be working on Salaar as well.
