Remakes have always been the trend in the Indian film industry. If the story has a larger appeal than the region it is set in, filmmakers adapt to their sensibilities and remake movies. Jersey (2019) starring Nani is a special movie which is not just about cricket but a beautiful father son relation at its core. Shahid Kapoor is all set to entertain the audiences with the Hindi version of the same titled Jersey.
Shahid Kapoor broke the box office in 2019 with his controversial blockbuster Kabir Singh which was a remake of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Arjun Reddy directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He soon announced that his next movie will also be a remake and he chose Jersey. Shahid Kapoor underwent massive training and transformation as the story demands two different body types according to the main character’s age. The team shot diligently over the last two years and have wrapped up the movie. The movie is currently under post production and the makers have finally released the trailer of the movie. Jersey is the Hindi remake of Natural star Nani’s super hit movie of the same name. Gowtam Tinnanuri who directed the original is helming this movie. The Jersey Hindi movie is produced under the banners of Dil Raju Productions, Allu Entertainments and Sithara Entertainments. Most successful producer of Tollywood Allu Arvind is back again in Bollywood with Jersey after blockbuster success of Ghajini and Dil Raju also has the remake of HIT lined up starring Raj Kumar Rao. Music is composed by Sachit and Parampara and the background score is rendered by the rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. Jersey is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on the 31st December 2021.
