South Indian top actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her entry in the film industry with Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010, which implies that she completed twelve years in the industry. On this special day, the glamour diva took to social media to share a heartfelt note to convey gratitude for her beautiful journey.
Sharing a cute pic of herself with a radiant smile, Sam wrote, “Today marks my 12th year in the Film Industry. It’s been 12 years of memories that revolve around Lights, Camera, action and incomparable moments. I am filled with gratitude for having had this blessed journey and the best, most loyal fans in the world !” Fans and followers were overwhelmed and poured her inbox with love and best wishes.

Samantha started her career with a part-time modeling job while pursuing a degree in commerce simultaneously. She made her acting debut in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Telugu romance film, Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010. Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress and a Nandi Award. Samantha then became the second actress ever to win both the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil and the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu in the same year, for Neethaane En Ponvasantham and Eega in 2012.
She never looked back and stormed the industry with superhit movies like Dookudu (2011), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2012) and Attarintiki Daredi (2013). Her performance in the 2016 film A Aa won positive reviews and won Samantha her fourth Filmfare Award, while her next films Theri (2016), 24 (2016), Mersal (2017), Rangasthalam (2018), and Mahanati (2018) also were commercially successful. Further, she won critical accolades for her offbeat roles in Super Deluxe, Majili, Oh! Baby and Jaanu.
She fell in love with Naga Chaitanya while working in Ye Maaya Chesave. The pair were engaged on 29 January 2017 and got married on 6 October 2017. In July 2021, she removed her marital surname Akkineni, reportedly due to the differences with Naga Chaitanya. Finally, on 2 October 2021, they officially announced their separation.
On the work front, she did her first ever item number Oo Antava Mava with Allu Arjun in Pushpa: The Rise. As of now, Sam baby has Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Shaakuntalam and Yashoda in her kitty. It is also touted that Samanatha is set to make her Hollywood debut with the movie Arrangements of Love, in Philip John’s direction.
