Samantha Announces Her First International Project With BAFTA Award Winning Director

Samantha is currently ruling the hearts of audiences across the nation.  After establishing her footprint in Telugu and Tamil film industries, Samantha achieved pan Indian fame and recognition for her marvelous performance in the Amazon original web series Family Man 2.  Samantha is currently busy with an exciting string of projects in her kitty.  

Samantha had a quiet year until the webseries Family Man season 2 released.  Her performance as the fierce and unruly Raji won accolades from all sections of the movie fraternity.  She recently wrapped up her upcoming movie Shaakuntalam and decided to take a short hiatus before getting back to the grind.  In a surprise announcement, Samantha revealed that she signed her first International movie and it is directed by BAFTA award winning director Philip John.  Samantha will be playing a 27 year old progressive bisexual detective and the movie is an adaptation of the book Arrangements Of Love.  Samantha took to her Instagram to announce the same and captioned “ A whole new world♥️…..I last auditioned in 2009 for Ye Maya chesave . 12 years later ,and auditioning again,I felt the very same nervousness….I guess it’s not everyday you get to audition for a BAFTA award winning , critically acclaimed , director of your most favourite series ‘Downton Abbey’ ♥️Jumping for joy that you picked me sir 🤗 #PhilipJohn .. Arrangements of Love will be produced by Sunitha Tati under the banner Guru films with whom Samantha collaborated earlier for the super hit movie Oh Baby (2019.)  On the other hand, Samantha is currently working alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara for the upcoming romantic comedy Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by Vignesh Sivan.  She is also awaiting the release of the upcoming mythological epic Shaakuntalam.
