There have been a lot of speculations about Renu Desai making a comeback to acting since the last few months. However, recently there were multiple rumours going around about Renu Desai securing a meaty role in the upcoming film Major, which is being produced by Mahesh Babu.
Renu Desai finally broke her silence on the rumours about her acting in Major. Speaking to a popular news daily, Renu said “I don’t know who started this news, but I’ve been getting congratulatory calls and messages for the last few days. There is no truth in this news. Whenever I sign a such a big film, I’ll surely make a formal announcement (sic.)”

Renu Desai, in a recent interview with a popular movie news site revealed her plans to make a comeback to acting. However, the news came with an interesting twist when Renu Desai revealed she is inclined to playing the role of a mother to Mahesh Babu or Prabhas in a movie. The news definitely comes as a surprise considering that she is younger than both Prabhas and Mahesh Babu in real life. However, Renu Desai mentioned that she would only take up the role if a director comes up with a role which has a strong character backstory and substance in the movie.
Major is a movie which is based on the life of Major Unnikrishnan who unfortunately lost his life in the vicious terror attack which took place on 26th November 2008, at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. Adivi Sesh will be playing the role of Major Unnikrishnan and the movie is touted to be a heavy budget film and is also one of the highly anticipated films.
