This great moment took place at the Karnataka Rajyotsava held at Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore.
Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, the wife of the late Puneeth Rajkumar, received the award from Karnataka chief minister, Basavaraj Bommai. Sudha Murthy, a popular writer and philanthropist, felicitated Ashwini at the event. Basavaraj said that it was a proud moment for the Karnataka government to honour such a great human being like Puneeth Rajkumar. There was a huge crowd yesterday at the event to witness the moment despite the rain.
Jr NTR and Rajinikanth graced the event as chief guests, as it is known to us all. Speaking at the event, Rajinikanth recollected his bonding with the Rajkumar family and also said that the spirit of Puneeth Rajkumar will stay with the people forever. Jr NTR said that Puneeth Rajkumar is always a man with a smile on his face and a man with no hatred. Jr NTR named Puneeth Rajkumar as Naguvina Odeya, the king of smiles.
