Filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi of RX 100 fame is currently busy with his next project titled Maha Samudram. Ajay won multiple accolades for his direction in RX 100, a low budget movie which became a super hit. The film marks Siddharth’s return to Tollywood and also stars Sharwanand as one of the main leads.
The speculations about the lead actress of the film have been doing rounds for months. Previously, it was reported that the makers were in talks with Samantha Akkineni and Sai Pallavi for the female lead. Now, according to the latest reports, Priyanka Arul Mohan, who made her debut in Tollywood with Nani’s Gang Leader is reportedly in talks as the leading lady for the bilingual film. However, there is no official confirmation as of now but if the reports turn out true, Maha Samudram will be the second collaboration between Sharwanand and Priyanka. Priyanka Arul Mohan and Sharwanand are also pairing up in the upcoming Telugu film titled Sreekaram, which will soon go into post-production mode.

Anil Sunkara, who has produced Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster film Sarileru Neekevaru, is producing Maha Samudram. The film is touted to be an intensely romantic and will be a bilingual film, which will be released in Telugu and Tamil. The makers of the film also promised that more surprise announcements will be made every week regarding this big project. So most probably, an official announcement is likely to be made this week.
