Naveen Chandra is the versatile actor who is known for essaying protagonist and antagonist roles with just the same ease. The actor made his debut as a main lead with the 2012 melodrama Andala Rakshasi. Since then, he starred in many diverse roles in movies such as Nenu Local (2017,) Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018) and more.
Naveen Chandra is all set to entertain the audience with his upcoming movie Ghani. In the movie starring Varun Tej and Saiee Manjrekar, Naveen Chandra is essaying the role of an antagonist. For his role as a boxer in the movie, Naveen underwent a physical transformation to look the part. Talking about the challenges of playing the role of boxer, he said “We had to shoot for an hour continuously wearing the boxing gear, for an entire week. That was exhausting (sic.)” Naveen added that Varun Tej was very cooperative and encouraging on the sets and they shared a great chemistry.
Naveen Chandra also revealed that he trained with national level boxers for more than three months and worked on his body language, posture and fitness. He also went on a diet and had to cut down on carbs.
Ghani is a sports drama movie directed by Kiran Korrapati. Upendra, Jagapathi Babu and Suneil Shetty appear in crucial roles. Music is composed by S. Thaman. Ghani is jointly produced by Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby under the banners of Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company respectively. The movie is scheduled to release in the theatres on the occasion of Diwali, 2021.
