Narappa is a period action-drama film from Venkatesh Daggubati that was released in 2021. The film was the remake of the blockbuster Tamil original Asuran, written and directed by Vetrimaaran. Srikanth Addala directed the remake. Venkatesh delivered a raw and rustic performance that showcased his acting prowess. Narappa was actually planned to be released in theaters, but unfortunately it was released on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform because of COVID. The Telugu audience, particularly Venkatesh’s fans, missed the intense performance of their beloved actor on the big screen then. But now, they are all getting a second chance to celebrate Venkatesh’s acting excellence on the screen.
Venkatesh Daggubati is going to celebrate his 62nd birthday on December 13, 2022. As re-releases and special shows are the current trend to celebrate star actors’ birthdays, Venkatesh’s fans also decided to celebrate his birthday the same way. Since they missed the rage of Venkatesh as Narappa in theaters, they decided to re-release Narappa for Venkatesh’s birthday. The film will be re-released by Suresh Productions in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Narappa is directed by Srikanth Addala. Priyamani, Karthik Ratnam, and Rakhi played important roles in the film alongside Venkatesh. Mani Sharma composed the music for the film. Shyam K Naidu is the cinematographer, and Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor.
