Nani is referred to as the Natural Star because of his acting, which seems to look natural and comes to him with ease. On the eve of Nani’s birthday (February 24th) his new movie titled Shyam Singha Roy, was declared with a lot of hype. After much postponement due to Coronavirus, Shyam Singha Roy was officially launched last week with a pooja ceremony. Today, on Monday, Shyam Singha Roy began rolling.
As Nani recently wrapped up the shoot of Tuck Jagadish, he kick started the shoot of his next film Shyam Singha Roy, on Monday, December 21. Nani took to his social media handle to announce the same and also shared a picture from the sets. Sharing a picture of his morning green tea and script of Shyam Singha Roy from the sets, Nani wrote, “DAY 1#ShyamSinghaRoy. Calm before the storm 🙂 (sic.)”
Last week, On December 11, Nani’s father Ghanta Rambabu delivered the first clap for the first time in his career for Shyam Singha Roy and he was indeed very happy and proud. Nani shared this memorable moment, which was all smiles on social media.

Shyam Singha Roy is touted to be a period drama and a major part of the movie is supposedly based in Kolkata. The film features Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty as female leading ladies. The film is bankrolled by Venkat S. Boyanapalli under the banner Niharika Entertainments and will be directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film’s story is penned by Satyadev Junga and Mickey J. Meyer will be composing the music. Reports are Nani will be undergoing training to play the role and will be sporting a unique look, to which the fans are looking forward. Shyam Singha Roy was scheduled to release on December 25th as a Christmas Special, but has been postponed due to Coronavirus lockdown. Reportedly, the film has now been pushed to release in Summer 2022.
