Natural Star Nani is on a spree to entertain his fans with back to back movies. One such upcoming film of his is Shyam Singha Roy, which is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. On Thursday, the film was officially launched with a pooja ceremony in Hyderabad.
As the movie unit is gearing up for a shoot this month, the customary pooja ceremony was held including the lead actors Nani, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty and other cast and crew. Nani’s father Ghanta Rambabu sounded the clapboard and Merlapaka Gandhi switched on the camera. Shiva Nirvana and Venky Kudumula handed over the film’s script to the makers.
Nani had a proud and happy moment as his father Ghanta Rambabu was there to deliver the first clap for the first time in his career. He shared a video of the memorable moment, which was all about smiles on social media and wrote, “First clap by Nanna 🙂 #ShyamSinghaRoy Begins.” (sic)

Shyam Singha Roy is touted to be a period drama and a major part of the movie is supposedly based in Kolkata. The film is bankrolled by Venkat S Boyanapalli under the banner Niharika Entertainments and will be directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film’s story is penned by Satyadev Junga and Mickey J Meyer will be composing the music. Reports are that Nani will be undergoing training to play the role and will be sporting a unique look which the fans look forward to. Shooting for Shyam Singha Roy will begin from this month, reportedly.
