Nandamuri Balakrishna Talks About Akhanda Success At Sankranti Sambaralu Event

Akhanda was a roaring blockbuster in 2021.  The film was the gateway for Tollywood after the deadly pandemic effect in the second wave of coronavirus.  Being released in the tough times and incompletely filled theatres, the film Akhanda brought back the celebrations at theatres with huge success.  It provided the boost for the other big films in the industry.  The film collected more than 125 crores at the box office and is still running successfully aiming for 50 days.

Akhanda was directed by Boyapati Sreenu and produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under the banner of Dwaraka Creations.  Akhanda was the third film for the duo of Balakrishna and Boyapati.  The duo were successful with their last two films Simha and Legend.  Akhanda was more successful than the previous two and became the industry blockbuster in 2021.  The film unit celebrated the success of the film on 12th January, 2022 as the film is running towards the completion of 50 days.

Balakrishna spoke about the entire film unit in the event.  He started his speech with a few slokas of Goddess Saraswati and compared the film Akhanda with her as the title of the film too started with the letter ‘A’ and thus the industry Sankranti celebrations with Akhanda from 2nd December, 2021.  He mentioned that Akhanda became a huge blockbuster even though it got released in unseason and after the Pandemic effect.  He was so happy with Akhanda becoming a Pan World film.  He also spoke about his understanding with Boyapati Sreenu.  He conveyed his special thanks to the producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy for daring to release the film in tough times and laying a confident path to the next films with the success of Akhanda.  Balakrishna also spoke about SS Thaman, the music director of the film that the interpol is searching for him for not warning them about the background score of Akhanda and causing damage to the speakers in US theatres with his music.

Balakrishna ended his speech by wishing all the success to the films going to release for this Pongal.  He also gave his fans a hint of BB4, the fourth film of Balakrishna and Boyapati to happen soon.
